Multiple Store Openings at Hammond Square Shopping Center

Hammond SquareHAMMOND, Louisiana —- (JANUARY 12, 2012) Stirling Properties, developer and property manager of Hammond Square, announces the addition of CATO and Bellagio Salon & Spa to its tenant lineup.   

CATO, a leading specialty retailer of value-priced women’s fashion apparel, jewelry, shoes and accessories in women’s sizes 6-26 and girl’s sizes 7-16, will open their second Hammond, LA store at 455 Palace Drive.  The 4,848 square-foot store is expected to open spring 2012 across from Merle Norman and Purse Bag Pattie’s.   “With exclusive styles, on-trend fashions and low prices every day, our customers can always find their statement of style while enjoying their shopping experience at Cato,” said John Cato, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.  “We are excited about opening our new store in Hammond Square.”

Bellagio Salon and Spa is anticipated to open its first location in March/April 2012 at 442 Palace Drive next door to Purse Bag Pattie’s.  The new store is 2,554 square feet and will offer full-service spa treatments.  Clients will experience the luxury and quality of a high-end salon and spa but with an affordable and accessible menu of services.  Services will include hair treatments from cut to color, waxing, therapeutic massages and facials.

To date, more than 40 retail, service and restaurant tenants are already in operation at Hammond Square which officially opened in October 2009.  Among these tenants are Kay Jewelers and Huey’s 24/7 Diner which recently opened before the holidays in November and December 2011. 

Kay Jewelers, the number one specialty jewelry brand in the United States, opened a 2,008 square-foot store at 201 Palace Drive next to Dillard’s.  Huey’s 24/7 Diner, located at 610 Palace Drive next to Albasha Greek & Lebanese Café, occupies 2,810 square feet and provides a classic American dining experience with a traditional New Orleans flair.
