Stirling Properties’ Agents to Serve on the 2011 CID Board of Directors
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – (December 6, 2010) Barrett Cooper, Commercial Sales and Leasing Agent for Stirling Properties, was formally installed as a Director for the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR) Commercial Investment Division’s (CID) Board of Directors.
The installation luncheon took place at the Southern Yacht Club on Friday, December 3rd where Mr. Cooper accepted the commitment to serve a two year term on the 2011 and 2012 CID Board of Directors. He joins fellow Stirling Properties Broker Associate, Bradley McCoy, who currently serves on the Board. Mr. McCoy was installed as a Director in December 2009 and will complete his term next year.
The CID is a chartered platform for commercial specialists formed to foster knowledge, education, integrity and professionalism in the field of commercial real estate. An 11 member autonomous Board of Directors is elected to address issues of mutual interest and to help create commercial opportunities for all CID members.

Stirling Properties Announces that The Children’s Place is Coming to Hammond Square
HAMMOND, Louisiana —- (NOVEMBER 11, 2010) Stirling Properties, the developer of Hammond Square, announces the addition of another retail tenant to its power-lifestyle center. The Children’s Place, the leading specialty retailer of children’s clothing and accessories, with over 975 locations nationally and 14 in Louisiana, plan to open its first Northshore location at Hammond Square.
The Children’s Place will occupy 4,290 SF of available space on Main Street directly across from Encore Shoe Department. The official Grand Opening Date has yet to be announced but is expected early spring 2011. COVINGTON, Louisiana —- (OCTOBER 7, 2010) Stirling Properties announces the addition of Ed Moore to the company’s Commercial Brokerage Division. Mr. Moore adds to the team of sales professionals located at 109 Northpark Boulevard, Suite 300, in Covington as a Sales and Leasing Executive.
For over 25 years, Ed Moore has been involved in all phases of real estate. In 1973 he obtained both a Commercial Contractors License and a Louisiana Brokers License which afforded him knowledge from both sides of a real estate transaction. Mr. Moore’s major accomplishments include the development and brokerage of Mariner’s Village in Mandeville, Louisiana, co-developer of Greenleaves Subdivision also in Mandeville, and an owner and developer of Innwoods Subdivision in Covington, Louisiana. Ryan Murphy has been active in the commercial real estate business since 2002 handling landlord and tenant operations for office use. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Mr. Murphy also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans.

Stirling Properties Sells Two Commercial Development Sites at River Chase

Infrastructure Progress is Underway for Development’s Next Phase
COVINGTON, Louisiana – Since unveiling plans in April for River Chase, a master planned, multi-use development in the heart of Western St. Tammany Parish, Stirling Properties successfully closed two land sales and has begun construction on the next phase of development. In August, two prime outparcels were sold in River Chase. Lakshmi, LLC purchased a 1.795 acre tract to build a 54,000 square foot Candlewood Suites Hotel. This extended-stay hotel chain owned by InterContinental Hotels Group will house a combination of approximately 93 studio and one-bedroom suites. Also purchased was a 1.634 acre tract by Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank. The purchaser intends to build a new 5,500 square foot Fidelity branch location, the second in the Covington area, which will provide a full array of banking services to the community.
The next phase for River Chase began in June and includes work to construct roads and utility infrastructure. Stirling Boulevard currently provides access to the existing retailers by way of Brewster Road. Road work to extend Stirling Boulevard will be completed before Thanksgiving which will create access to an additional 74 acres of developable land and open the development up for future phases of River Chase retail. Mark Salvetti, Director of Project Management for Stirling Properties, explained that telephone and gas distribution along with drainage expansion are among the other additional infrastructure enhancements already in progress. Lighting and traffic signals are also under construction for Stirling Boulevard and Brewster Road along with comprehensive signage and branding upgrades.
“In an environment that has very little positive development activity, Stirling Properties is excited to be able to move forward with this project,” stated Townsend Underhill, Stirling Properties’ Vice President of Development. “River Chase will offer something unique to the community and is a project we are fortunate to be able to provide.”
