The LSU 100, formed by the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute (SEI), is a platform for former LSU students, representing various fields and professions, to pass along lessons to the next generation of LSU entrepreneurs.  By engaging these alumni with the LSU faculty and student community, the opportunities to network and learn from one another are strengthened.

According to Jill Roshto, Director of Development for LSU SEI, the LSU 100 not only celebrates the success of LSU graduates but recognizes the impact of LSU on the local, regional and national economies as well.

Stirling Properties history with LSU began over 35 years ago when two LSU Alumni, Roger Ogden and Jimmy Maurin who currently both serve on Stirling Properties’ Board of Directors, founded the company.  Now, years later, three of Stirling Properties four partners all graduated from LSU – Gerald Songy, Grady Brame, and Lewis Stirling.  Each credits their business success to the academic fundamentals learned at LSU.

“Stirling Properties is indicative of the Tiger-led businesses that we are looking to show other Tigers from every college on campus what they need to be successful,” said Roshto.  “We congratulate them on this achievement and look forward to their continued success.”

To be included in this prestigious award, Stirling Properties had to meet certain criteria which consisted of 5 or more years in the business, verifiable revenues of $100,000 or more for the last calendar year, alumni owning 50% of the company or is a CEO, president or managing partner, and operates in a manner consistent with the mission of LSU and LSU SEI.  The full list of honorees is available at www.lsu100.com/honorees.
