Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar Coming to Hammond Square
Stirling Properties announces that Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar is coming to Hammond Square shopping center in Hammond, Louisiana. This marks the 3rd Northshore location for the award-winning, family-friendly restaurant and bar.
Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar local franchisee DBMC Restaurants will close on the purchase of 1.35 acres of property located at C.M. Fagan and Hammond Square Drive, as part of the redevelopment currently underway on the northeast side of the shopping center. The restaurant will occupy approximately 8,025 square feet of space. Construction is expected to commence by the end of 2019, and the restaurant plans to open in the summer of 2020. DBMC Restaurants is a veteran restaurant group that currently operates three restaurant brands across six states and is one of the largest franchisees of Walk-On’s.

The popular sports-themed restaurant started in Baton Rouge by two former LSU basketball walk-ons has thrived over the years and expanded with more than 100 locations planned across 15 states. Currently, there are 18 Walk-On’s restaurants operating in Louisiana. Hammond Square marks the 3rd location for the Northshore region, with existing restaurants at Stirling Properties’ River Chase development in Covington and Fremaux Town Center in Slidell.
Stirling Properties previously announced the demolition of the former Sears and Rite Aid buildings at Hammond Square to make way for a multi-tenant retail redevelopment project. This summer, the company announced that Michaels, HomeGoods, Five Below and PetSmart would occupy the space and join the tenant lineup. Buildout of the new space is underway and expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020, with the retail tenants anticipated to open in the second quarter of 2020. Hammond Square is also developing a two-tenant building in front of the former Rite Aid that will house additional restaurants, including Five Guys. This building is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020.

New Rouses Market-Anchored Retail Development Coming to Lake Charles, Louisiana
Anticipated construction completion in the spring of 2020.
Stirling Properties commercial real estate company is pleased to announce that a new Rouses Market-anchored retail development is coming to Lake Charles, Louisiana. Developed by the Eisenberg Company, the roughly 90,000-square-foot development will be located on 10.25 acres on Nelson Road at Ham Reid Road in South Lake Charles. Eisenberg Company recently completed construction of its first Rouses Market-anchored shopping center, Arlington Marketplace, in Baton Rouge on the corner of Lee and Burbank.
Anchor-tenant Rouses Market will occupy approximately 44,000 square feet of retail space. Construction of the state-of-the-art, ground-up grocery store commenced last week, and it is expected to open in the fall of 2020. This marks the 3rd Rouses Market location for the Lake Charles area.
Stirling Properties’ commercial advisors are serving as the listing agents for the retail project. Justin Langlois, CCIM, Ben Graham, CCIM and Seth Citron are working diligently to fill the remainder of the property and bring new tenants to the market. Additional pad sites and shop space is available for sale, lease or build to suit.

Stirling Properties Names Samantha Marshall As Relationship Manager – Finance and Development
Stirling Properties is pleased to announce that Samantha Marshall has been promoted to Relationship Manager – Finance and Development.
In this new role within the organization, Samantha will work to enhance the company’s investor relations, as well as play a more prominent role in securing debt and equity capital for its projects.
Samantha has been with Stirling Properties for over six years, and previously held the role of Paralegal / Document Manager. While she will be responsible for many of the same functions, she will also be handling new and expanded duties.
As Relationship Manager – Finance and Development, Samantha will continue to coordinate loan closings and remain point person with lenders, guarantors and investors. In addition, she will have more involvement with Stirling Properties’ lenders on the front end of securing loans for acquisition, development and refinancing. She will also be assigned various special projects within the Development Department, working directly with some of the company’s larger, long-term clients, as well as assisting with investor relations and equity raising as Stirling Properties continues to grow.

Stirling Properties Announces New Tenants at Hammond Square
Redevelopment of former Sears and Rite Aid stores into multi-tenant retail space.
Stirling Properties commercial real estate company is thrilled to announce that Michaels, HomeGoods, Five Below and PetSmart will join the tenant lineup at Hammond Square shopping center in Hammond, Louisiana.

Michaels, HomeGoods and Five Below will occupy a newly constructed multi-tenant building on the parcel formerly occupied by Sears and Rite Aid. Michaels will lease 21,000 square feet, HomeGoods will lease 22,000 square feet and Five Below will lease 8,300 square feet. PetSmart will occupy approximately 15,000-square-foot store adjacent to Hibbett Sports. There will be a newly created outparcel at the corner of Hammond Square Drive and Palace Drive, near the entrance of the retail center. This outparcel is available for a future retail or restaurant up to 6,000 square feet.
Demolition of the former Sears and Rite Aid buildings was completed earlier this year to make way for the $15 million redevelopment project. Construction of the new space has commenced, and developers are recycling the crushed concrete from the building demolition to use for paving base material. Buildout is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020 with the new retail tenants anticipated to open in the second quarter of 2020.
Also new to Hammond Square, Old Navy celebrated its grand opening this past spring. The new-to-market fashion retailer is located on Palace Drive between Zales and Shoe Dept. Encore. Poké City recently announced that it would open its 2nd Louisiana location at Hammond Square. The restaurant, serving Hawaiian-inspired food bowls, will occupy the former Which Wich location on Palace Drive between Menchie’s and GNC. It is expected to open this August.

Springhill Suites by Marriott Breaking Ground at Fremaux Park in Slidell, Louisiana
Anticipated opening scheduled for late 2020
Q Hotels and Stirling Properties are pleased to announce that Springhill Suites by Marriott is breaking ground at Fremaux Park in Slidell, Louisiana. Fremaux Park is the mixed-use property surrounding the Fremaux Town Center retail development.
Q Hotels, a LaPlace, Louisiana-based hospitality development and management company, previously purchased the 1.87-acre parcel of land, and the company is now ready to begin construction of a four-story, 88-room hotel under the Marriott flag. The hotel will encompass 57,000 square feet of space located on the south side of the W-14 canal at the corner of Ruth Garrett Way and Bill Garrett Road (I-10 Service Rd.). Groundbreaking and site work began this week. Springhill Suites by Marriott is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Q Hotels currently owns and manages 12 hotels with brands ranging from Hilton, Marriott, IHG and Best Western across Louisiana and Texas, as well as multifamily and retail properties.
Fremaux Park is part of the roughly 350-acre regional mixed-use development located at the southwest corner of Interstate 10 and Fremaux Avenue in Slidell, Louisiana. It includes Retreat at Fremaux Town Center luxury residential apartments, Springhill Suites by Marriott (under construction), Waypoint apartment community (under construction), Saltgrass Steak House and Dana Inc. Service & Assembly Center (under construction). Old Navy Grand Opening & New Poké Restaurant at Hammond Square
Stirling Properties commercial real estate company is pleased to announce new goings-on at Hammond Square shopping center in Hammond, Louisiana.
Old Navy will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, May 11th, with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 11am. Grand opening festivities, including a store-wide sale and exclusive coupons, will continue through 1pm.
The new-to-market fashion retailer will be located on Palace Drive between Zales and Shoe Dept. Encore. Old Navy announced plans to occupy and expand the space in the fall of 2018. It has hired approximately 40 employees and team leaders to staff the new store.
Poké City is also coming to Hammond Square. The restaurant will serve Hawaiian-inspired food bowls with a selection of seafood and meats, vegetables, rice, noodles, sushi burritos, soup and salads. It will occupy the former Which Wich location on Palace Drive between Menchie’s and GNC. Construction timelines and anticipated opening date will be announced shortly.
