Saltgrass Steak House closed on the acquisition of 1.41 acres of property at the intersection of Pinnacle Parkway and Westshore Drive, between Cracker Barrel and the new Mercedes-Benz dealership. The Texas-themed steak restaurant will occupy approximately 8,000 square feet of space.
This marks Saltgrass Steak House’s seventh location in Louisiana. This will be the second restaurant announced on the Northshore, with the first to be located at Fremaux Park in Slidell. Rhonda Sharkawy, Stirling Properties’ Senior Retail Leasing & Development Executive, handled the transaction. Sharkawy exclusively represents Saltgrass Steak House and the Landry’s Brands in Louisiana.
Pinnacle Nord du Lac, regional shopping center, is located on the northeast corner of Interstate 12 and LA Highway 21. Currently, Pinnacle Nord du Lac is comprised of 327,000 square feet of existing retail space, with an additional 162,000 square feet of future retail expansion planned. The retail center is 97% leased, and anchor tenants include Kohl’s, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Hobby Lobby, and Petco, as well as multiple restaurant options. Stirling Properties handles the facility management of the property.
Stirling Properties also developed and manages the adjacent River Chase mixed-use center on the southeast corner of Interstate 12 and LA Highway 21, which houses national anchor tenants such as Target, Sam’s Club, Belk, JCPenney, Regal Cinema, Best Buy, Marshalls, Ross Dress For Less, Cost Plus World Market, Michaels, and ULTA Beauty.

Saltgrass Steak House closed on the acquisition of 1.58 acres of property at the intersection of Town Center Parkway and Levis Lane, adjacent to LA Fitness. Construction on the site is anticipated to commence within the next couple of weeks. The Texas-themed steak restaurant will occupy 7,127 square feet of space. Stirling Properties Breaks Ground on Hammond Square Self Storage
Stirling Properties commercial real estate company has broken ground on the development of Hammond Square Self Storage in Hammond, Louisiana.
The 3-story, 93,902-square-foot storage facility will be located on the corner of US Highway 51 (SW Railroad Avenue) and West Minnesota Park Boulevard behind Walgreens. It will include 641 climate-controlled units as well as RV and boat storage areas.
Construction has commenced on the project, with site work and foundation work already underway. Anticipated completion is scheduled for the end of July.
Stirling Properties is developing the facility and will handle daily management upon completion. The architect is Houston-based Edgecomb & Associates, a firm that specializes in self-storage facilities, and Kent Design Build is the general contractor for the project.

This project marks our first ground-up, climate-controlled storage facility development,” said Townsend Underhill, President of Development for Stirling Properties. “Tangipahoa Parish is experiencing significant growth, creating a high demand for this type of service. The strategic location in close proximity to Hammond Square and I-12 will provide easy access and convenience for customers.”
Underhill continued, “We’ve assembled a very talented team—with tremendous experience in the storage industry—to work on the development of Hammond Square Self Storage. Stirling Properties currently manages and operates several climate-controlled storage facilities within our existing portfolio that were redevelopments of previously occupied retail space.”
Stirling Properties also redeveloped the neighboring Hammond Square shopping center located on the northwest corner of Interstate 12 and Hwy. 51. Hammond Square is Tangipahoa Parish’s premier shopping destination. Team Stirling Properties Spreads Holiday Cheer!
In the spirit of the Holiday Season, Stirling Properties participated in the Volunteers of America Christmas Wish “Angel” Project. For the 6th consecutive year, our company donated Christmas gifts, food baskets and other essential items to local families in need across our Gulf South region.
The annual Christmas Wish Project helps bring joy and holiday cheer to families and individuals who might not have a Christmas this year. Through Volunteers of America, participating families submit “wish list” gift items for each individual. The wishes are noted on angels and hung on the company Christmas tree where Stirling Properties and employees can select and grant them. This year, we were able to fulfill every single wish! In all, 18 families and more than 46 children, adults and seniors received Christmas gifts. Additionally, 10 families on the Northshore received food baskets with tasty treats and supplies for the holiday season.
Stirling Properties’ Stewardship Committee organized the company-wide event by partnering with Volunteers of America in Greater New Orleans, Greater Baton Rouge and the Southeast to serve the New Orleans Northshore and Southshore, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Mobile and Shreveport communities.
In addition to donating to the Christmas Wish Project, Stirling Properties hosted its third annual Northpark Christmas Bazaar, Bake Sale & Raffle on Friday, November 17th. Local vendors, as well as employees of the Northpark office complex sold crafts, jewelry, ornaments, artwork, beauty products and many other great gift items.
The Christmas Bazaar raised $2,500, which was also donated in full to Volunteers of America to assist more families in our area with emergency holiday needs.
The Holiday Season is a time for gratitude, generosity and giving back to our region.
