Stirling Properties is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Barnes, CCIM to the Commercial Brokerage Division as Sales and Leasing Executive. Mr. Barnes will work from the company’s Mobile, Alabama office located at 182 St. Francis Street, Suite 101.
Mr. Barnes brings with him over 25 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate. Prior to joining Stirling Properties, Mr. Barnes was with Coldwell Banker Commercial Reehl Properties in Fairhope, Alabama. Previously, he served as director of marketing for Atlanta-based Carter & Associates, leasing and marketing all Carter-managed commercial properties in Birmingham.
Mr. Barnes earned his CCIM designation in 1998 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Chapter of CCIM. Other affiliations include the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), past NAIOP – Alabama President, and past Trustee of the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE). Currently he is a member of the Alabama Chapter of CCIM/Gulf Coast District, the Baldwin County Commercial and Industrial Exchange (BCIE), the Baldwin County Association of Realtors, and the Mobile County Association of Realtors.

Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. Officially Announce LA Fitness Coming to Fremaux Town Center
Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. (NYSE: CBL) officially announce the addition of LA Fitness to the Phase I tenant lineup of Fremaux Town Center in Slidell, Louisiana. Scheduled to open 4th Quarter 2014, the 41,000 square-foot facility will be their first location in Louisiana. LA Fitness is a state-of-the-art health club with a wide-range of amenities and a highly trained staff to provide fun and effective workout options to family members of all ages and interests.
Phase I of Fremaux Town Center is approximately 350,000 square feet anchored by Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, T.J.Maxx, and Michaels. Construction is moving along as scheduled with a grand opening scheduled for March 2014.
Also joining the previously announced tenants are:
- GNC, a leading global specialty retailer of health and wellness products, including vitamins, minerals and herbal supplement products, sports nutrition products and diet products.
- Five Guys Burgers and Fries, a fast casual restaurant focusing on hamburgers, fries and hotdogs, with a total of 15 free toppings to allow guests to create a truly customized burger.
Once complete, the 80+ acre Fremaux Town Center will consist of two phases. Phase II will include up to 320,000 square feet of additional retail space anchored by Dillard’s and is scheduled to open in Spring 2015.

Stirling Properties’ Donna Taylor Elected to Serve as the Board Chair for the Hammond Chamber of Commerce

Stirling Properties Awarded Contract for Leasing, Sales and Property and Construction Management of Perkins Rowe
Stirling Properties has been awarded a contract to provide comprehensive leasing, sales, property and construction management services for Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which includes 364,648 square feet of retail, 126,000 square feet of Class A office space and upscale apartments and condominiums.
Opened in 2007, Perkins Rowe is a strong mix of retail brands and soft goods retail stores, entertainment venues and several restaurants. Stirling Properties will be working in conjunction with the current management company to complete the transition.

JCH Development and Stirling Properties Celebrate Groundbreaking of Magnolia Marketplace
Earlier today JCH Development, Stirling Properties, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, elected officials and other dignitaries commemorated the groundbreaking of Magnolia Marketplace, a 106,000 square-foot shopping center located in New Orleans, LA at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Toledano Street.
“We are proud to bring a dynamic new retail development to an underserved portion of Central City. This development will bring a formerly vacant and blighted piece of property in the City of New Orleans back to commerce”, stated Tara Hernandez, President of JCH Development.
“Magnolia Marketplace is further proof that New Orleans is on a retail roll,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu. “This project represents economic growth, jobs and opportunities and more retail options for an underserved community. Projects like this are why people are looking at New Orleans as a model for economic revival and urban renewal.”
Tenants scheduled to open in spring 2015 are Ross Dress For Less, T.J.Maxx, Michaels, PetSmart, Shoe Carnival, ULTA Beauty and Raising Cane’s. The project is 100% pre-leased. Previously announced was the 6,000 square foot initial phase of Magnolia Marketplace development located at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Fourth Street. Capital One Bank is currently open in that building. T-Mobile and Subway are slated to open in early 2014.

Stirling Properties and JCH Development are pleased to announce the closing of the land acquisition and development financing for Magnolia Marketplace, a 106,000 square-foot shopping center located in New Orleans, LA at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Toledano Street. First NBC Bank of New Orleans provided financing for the project.
