Stirling Properties Welcomes Scott Macdonald to Its Team
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana —- (JULY 13, 2011) Stirling Properties welcomes Scott Macdonald to its Commercial Brokerage Team as a specialist in office and industrial leasing. He will work out of the company’s Baton Rouge office located at 8550 United Plaza Blvd., Suite 303 where he will spearhead all leasing and marketing efforts of all United Plaza offices.

Prior to joining Stirling Properties, Mr. Macdonald was Vice President of Cassidy Turley/CPS, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage company located in Santa Clara, California. His primary focus while with CPS was office, R&D and manufacturing leasing and sales. Some of Mr. Macdonald’s major clients include AkzoNobel, Barry Swenson Builder, Integrated Device Technology, iStar Financial, Nearon Enterprises, PS Business Parks and Xangati, Inc.
Mr. Macdonald is a Louisiana native and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana.
Stirling Properties Appoints Paul Mastio as Chief Financial Officer
COVINGTON, Louisiana —- (JUNE 23, 2011) Stirling Properties appoints Paul Mastio as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from his previous position as Senior Vice President of Operations and Accounting. This appointment was effective Monday, June 20, 2011,
“As Stirling enters into its next phase of the company’s evolution and growth, it is essential that we have someone like Paul overseeing all of the financial operations of our company and helping to guide us to greater efficiencies and profitability,” said Marty Mayer, President and CEO of Stirling Properties. “Paul’s contributions to Stirling over the years have been invaluable to our success.”
As CFO, Mr. Mastio is responsible for the oversight of the company’s Accounting and Information Technology departments. He will report to the President and CEO while directly working with the Management Team to identify needs, manage processes for financial forecasting and budgets, as well as give advice on the impact of long range planning, strategies and regulatory actions.

Mr. Mastio has been with Stirling Properties for 18 years. He currently is a member of both the Management Advisory Committee and Company Forum, which meet regularly to discuss all aspects of company strategy, planning and operations.
Mr. Mastio obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Shortly after graduation, he earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Mr. Mastio is a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA), American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and the National Association of Real Estate Consultants (NAREC).
Stirling Properties Welcomes Jordi Goodman to Its Development Team
COVINGTON, Louisiana —- (JUNE 7, 2011) Stirling Properties expands the depth and breadth of its Development Team by announcing the addition of Jordi Goodman as a Development Associate.
In this position, Mr. Goodman will work directly with Townsend Underhill and Peter Aamodt, Stirling Properties’ Vice Presidents of Development and Acquisition, where he will be responsible for assisting in all development area functions including project management, financial analysis, marketing, document review, site inspection and market research.
“The industry is seeing an upswing in activity and it is crucial to have the right people in place to capitalize on growth opportunities. This is why we are pleased to be able to bring someone of Jordi’s caliber onboard,” said Underhill. “His previous experiences and expertise will play a significant part in Stirling Properties’ development goals as we continue to expand our services in the Gulf South.”
Prior to joining Stirling Properties, Mr. Goodman worked as a Development Associate with New Orleans based Green Coast Enterprises and also as a Project Analyst for New Development with Citi Habitats Marketing Group in New York, New York.
Mr. Goodman received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Development from Tulane University’s School of Liberal Arts in New Orleans.

Beth Cristina Named 2010 Louisiana REALTOR of the Year
Congratulations to our very own Beth Cristina, who was chosen by Louisiana REALTORS (LR) as the 2010 Louisiana REALTOR of the Year. This prestigious honor was presented yesterday, May 25th, 2011, at the association’s state-level Awards Luncheon held annually at the “REALTOR Action” Spring Conference in Baton Rouge.
Chosen by a special LR selection committee, the Louisiana REALTOR of the Year award, established in 1958, recognizes the REALTOR member who has contributed most to the advancement of their profession and the community at large during the current year.
Beth’s passion and ability to lead is evident through her past honors and industry involvement. In 2009, she received both the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR) Commercial Investment Division’s “Service to the Industry” Award and REALTOR of the Year.

Stirling Properties Appointed Management Firm for Bel Air Park II Office Building in Mobile, Alabama
COVINGTON, Louisiana —- (May 23, 2011) Stirling Properties announces their appointment as the management firm of an office building in Mobile, Alabama known as Bel Air Park II. The management appointment, effective April 27th, 2011, was awarded through foreclosure by owner Wells Fargo Bank N.A.
Bel Air Park II is a two-story office building containing 128,000 square feet of office and ground floor space. Tenants include Thompson Engineering, Blue Cliff College, Virginia College, AT&T Services and Allied Electronics.
