About Patrick
Patrick Malik joined Stirling in May of 2001 and is the Vice President of Property & Risk Management in the Property Management Division. His responsibilities include the management of the Property Management Division, including direct and indirect supervision and support of all property managers and their respective support staff for all properties in Stirling’s Property Management portfolio. In addition, he also coordinates purchasing and service contract efforts to take advantage of economies of scale, improve standardization, and quality across the managed portfolio.
Additionally, Mr. Malik oversees corporate and property risk management, directing the company’s Property and Casualty Insurance Program and Risk Management to include sourcing, risk management, risk assessments, alternative premium financing, captives, promoting loss prevention solutions at the property and operational levels, promoting safety, claims management, and emergency planning & response.
Mr. Malik has been an ICSC member for over 25 years. Before joining Stirling, he was employed with Property One, Inc. and Sizeler Real Estate Management Company, Inc. He graduated in 1987 from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in management.
Mr. Malik has over 35 years of property management experience in a wide variety of commercial real estate sectors, including regional malls and strip centers, Class A & B office buildings, mini-storage, warehouse, and parking facilities. He is an avid fisherman, boater, and enjoys time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Jared Lauderdale
About Jared
As Vice President Controller, Jared Lauderdale leads the company’s property accounting team of seventeen employees and is responsible for all tax matters in Stirling’s internally owned portfolio. He provides annual fair value assessments for internally owned assets and prepares personal financial statements for lender submission. He also supervises the annual filing of over 85 partnership tax returns and performs distribution and tax implications analysis for real estate sales. Additionally, he is responsible for implementing policies and processes to increase efficiencies throughout the accounting department, and successfully executed Investment Management Services (IMS), software that serves as a portal for outside investors to conveniently view financial statements, K-1s and valuations.
Before joining Stirling in 2016, Mr. Lauderdale worked for Postlethwaite and Netterville, the largest public accounting firm in Louisiana, where he focused on individual and business income tax. He also worked at James, Lambert and Riggs, where he focused on income tax as well as auditing, financial reporting and 401k administration.
Mr. Lauderdale received his undergraduate and master’s degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University (LSU), where he graduated with honors. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), passing all four parts of the exam on the first attempt. He is also an Excel University graduate.
Mr. Lauderdale is affiliated with numerous professional groups, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). He is a member of ICSC, serving on the ICSC Tax Reform Committee that provides key recommendations to assist the organization in influencing the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2018. He previously served as Treasurer of the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce from January 2016-December 2018 and was awarded Board Member of the Year in 2018.
Mr. Lauderdale is an LSU football fanatic and a BBQ enthusiast. He resides in Hammond, Louisiana, with his wife and two sons.
Donna Derokey
About Donna
Donna Derokey serves as Vice President of Marketing for Stirling, a position she has held since 1998. In this position, she oversees all regional and national branding, advertising, public relations, social/digital media, marketing assets, and research initiatives while consistently showcasing guidance and leadership skills throughout her department.
Donna spearheads Stirling’s endeavors, emphasizing the expansion of customer and client relationships through personalized marketing and relationship-building services. Her duties include gathering and distributing market research, executing strategic marketing campaigns, managing corporate branding, overseeing internal and external communications, and coordinating interactive media/digital projects.
Also, she actively participates in preparing and planning numerous trade shows, conventions, and special events. Presently, manages all facets of Stirling’s participation in the annual commercial convention, the company’s annual awards function, groundbreakings, and grand openings. Before assuming this role, she held various positions within the commercial division.
Donna is involved in ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), the Krewe of Muses, and previously held membership in CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). She is a dedicated community supporter, contributing to organizations such as the Ochsner Women’s Foundation, Covenant House, Dress for Success, and the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) and Just One Voice.
Judy McKee
About Judy
Judy McKee serves as the Vice President of Human Resources where her primary areas of responsibility include employee orientations, advisory consultations, personnel policies and procedures, employee evaluation procedures, health care, wellness and benefits planning, 401k plan oversight, personnel management, employee relations, and business ethics.
Ms. McKee graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education. Since joining Stirling in 1976, her role has developed from positions in administration, accounting, property management, and marketing to her current position as Vice President of Human Resources.
She is a member of the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a charter member of the Northshore Society for Human Resource Management (NSHRM), where she has served as a board member in several areas. She is a past recipient of the HR Professional of the Year in 2008. She is also a member of the SLU Alumni and Phi Mu Alumna Associations.
